I've spent much of my life interested in hunger.
Not only hunger for food, but for safety, pleasure, belonging, meaning, freedom, attention, and a life that actually feels like ours.
Along the way, I've become increasingly suspicious of a culture that tells us the answer is to keep improving ourselves.
What if we don't need another person telling us how to perfect our lives? What if we need practices that help us become more intimate with the lives we're actually living?

WORK WITH EAT TO LOVE
A companion for exploring your relationship with food
The Eat to Love Companion Workbook offers practices, reflections, and exercises for bringing the ideas in Eat to Love into your own life.
LOOKING FOR A SPEAKER OR TEACHER?
I offer talks, workshops, and retreats that bring Buddhist wisdom into conversation with the challenges of contemporary life—from our complicated relationships with food and our bodies to desire, identity, aging, overwhelm, and the stories we've inherited about who we're supposed to be.
My approach is grounded, curious, and practical, inviting people to question familiar assumptions and discover new ways of relating to themselves, one another, and the world around them.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I'm Jenna Hollenstein, a writer, Buddhist teacher, speaker, and nutrition therapist.
For more than twenty-five years, I've been exploring our complicated relationships with food, our bodies, and ourselves. The work that began with eating disorders and Intuitive Eating has expanded into a much larger inquiry about desire, identity, motherhood, aging, culture, and the stories we've inherited about who we're supposed to be.
I'm the author of six books, including Eat to Love, and my work brings together Buddhist practice, personal experience, and a willingness to think out loud about this messy situation we call life.
I'm also a mother, a lifelong reader, a horror movie obsessive, and someone who is still figuring most things out.
